Manufacture-Industrial Drones- B-AIM Pick Selects

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), or drones, come in a variety of sizes according to the tasks they’re designed for ranging from mini-drones that fit in the palm of your hand to professional and commercial versions capable of carrying substantial payloads or taking still pictures or videos for entertainment or surveillance purposes.

The biggest challenge in industrial drone design is to meet flying time and payload targets. This requires a balanced mechanical and electronic design with the best trade-off in regards to the number of propellers, battery capacity and weight as well as sensing and connectivity capabilities.

This is where the on-board electronics – typically split into a Flight Control Unit (FCU), Electronic Speed Controllers (ESC) driving the propellers and the on-board camera and gimbal control – can make the difference.

We offer motor control solutions for ESC and gimbal control as well as high-performance FCU designs. In addition to power MOSFETs, monolithic motor drivers and high-performance STM32 microcontrollers, our portfolio includes a full range of motion, environmental and ranging sensors and connectivity solutions as well as ready-to-use reference designs for developing industrial drones with the best possible flight performance for the targeted application.
